DENTON, Texas – The UTA men placed third and the women took fourth at the Ken Garland Invitational hosted by North Texas on Saturday. It was the third straight weekend of action for the busy Mavericks, who are now more than halfway through their regular season schedule.

The men's race was hotly contested, as Incarnate Word won with 39 total points, followed closely by North Texas (40) and UTA (48). The SMU women (19) claimed the victory, while UTA's 110-point score came in behind North Texas (58) and Incarnate Word (78).
