ARLINGTON, Texas - UT Arlington senior Guanarteme Nuez has been selected to represent the Sun Belt Conference in the 2018 Oracle ITA Masters tennis tournament on Sept. 20-23.

The event will take place in Malibu, Calif. at the Malibu Racquet Club and Pepperdine University. This is the fourth year of the tournament's existence and it is already one of the premier events in college tennis. Invitations were sent out to one man and one women from each Division I conference with several at-large invitations.
 
Nuez is the first player from UT Arlington to receive an invitation to play in the ITA Masters tournament. As a junior, Nuez won Sun Belt Player of the Year and was selected to play in the NCAA Singles Championship. He compiled a 25-7 singles record, with a 18-3 record in duel match play.
