Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas– The UT Arlington men's tennis team (9-5) cruised past Texas A&M- Corpus Christi on Tuesday afternoon, shutting out the Islanders 4-0 at the UTA Tennis Center.
 
The Mavs started the afternoon by winning the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles slots.  Enrique Pardo and Eduard Simo defeated William Mottet and Thomas Rodrigues 6-4 in the No. 2 competition, before Miguel Cabrera and Alejandro Hayen defeated Thibault Frumholz and Kyohei Yamanaka 6-4 to clinch the doubles point.
 
Needing just three points to win, the Mavs wasted no time.  Enrique Pardo made quick work of Mottet, winning 6-1, 6-3.  Jakub Grzegorczyk put UTA one point away with a 6-2, 6-4 win in the No. 6 slot before Hayen ended the match early with a 7-5, 6-4 win in the No. 3 singles competition.

The Mavs will host Georgia State on Friday (March 22) at 2 p.m. at the UTA Tennis Center, before hosting Georgia Southern on Saturday at 10 a.m.
