Box Score ARLINGTON, Texas - After over a month away from home, the UT Arlington women's tennis team returned to the UTA Tennis Center on Sunday morning, picking up their first Sun Belt Conference win of the season with a 4-1 victory over Louisiana.

Having to default the No. 3 competition, the Mavs needed to sweep the remaining two spots to win the doubles point.  Carla Pons and Aludena Boza took the No. 2 slot 6-3 over Ai Noa Fabre and Hoda Habib, but Nanaka Takeuchi and Liz Chileno were unable to wrap up the No. 1 slot, falling 6-3 to give the Ragin' Cajuns the doubles point.

Needing four points to win the match, the Mavericks put forth a dominant effort in singles compeitition.  Carla Pons and Lucia Natal got things going with wins the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, both in straight sets.  Aludena Boza gave UTA their third point with a 6-4, 6-4 win over the Fabre in the No. 5 competition before Liz Chileno ended the match with a hard-fought 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 win in the No. 4 spot to give the Mavericks the 4-1 match victory.  Nanaka Takeuchi and Carla Vivies did not finish their singles matches.

UTA will hit the road again, traveling to Georgia to take on Georgia Southern on Saturday (March 30) and Georgia State on Sunday (March 31).
