Box Score CONWAY, South Carolina – The UT Arlington men's tennis team (10-7, 1-2 SBC) was swept to begin their road trip on the east coast, losing to Coastal Carolina 4-0 Friday afternoon at the Stevens Tennis Complex.
 
The Chants took the doubles point with two swift victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 slots.  Eduard Simo and Enrique Pardo fell 6-4, while Alejandro Hayen and Miguel Cabrera fell 6-2.  Guanarteme Nuez and Mauricio Rio's match was unfinished.
 
The Mavs went down three points after Pardo and Cabrera both fell in straight sets to begin singles play.  Pardo fell 6-3 in the first set, but made the second set interesting, forcing it to go to a seventh point as he lost 7-5.
 
Cabrera took a tought 7-5 loss in the first set of his match, and lost the second set 6-3.
 
Hayen was the final Maverick to lose.  After taking set one 6-0, he lost the next two sets 6-4, 6-3 as the Chants clinched the match winning point.  Guanarteme Nuez, Mauricio Rio and Eduardo Simo were each in the third set of their match when Coastal Carolina clinched.

UTA will have one day off as they head to North Carolina to take on Appalachian State on Sunday at 10 a.m. in Boone.
