Homestand Continues for @UTAMavsMTEN

ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men's tennis team will continue their home stand on Saturday (Feb. 1) when they host UT Permian Basin and Oklahoma Baptist for a double-header at the UTA Tennis Center.  The match against UTPB will begin at 10 am with the match against Oklahoma Baptist set for 3 pm.

UTA NOTES
• Angel Diaz is off to a hot start this season, with a 3-0 record in singles play. He's already defeated a ranked opponent, while taking care of two more matches a week ago.
• Miguel Cabrera has already matched his win total from a season ago when he went 8-9 on the year. Including tournament play, Cabrera has dropped just two matches this season and currently sits at 8-2.
•  The Mavs have dropped just five matches in singles play this spring, currently winning 70.6 percent of their matches. They will look to continue to increase that percentage this weekend.

SCOUTING UTPB
UTPB will open their season against the Mavericks. Last season was the first time the two teams had squared off with the Mavericks winning 7-0.

SCOUTING OKLAHOMA BAPTIST
The Bison will begin their season on Saturday with their first game at 8 am at SMU. OBU went 6-13 a season ago. This will be the first meeting between OBU and UTA.
 
ON DECK
The Mavs will hit the road for a three matches against Corpus Christi, Lamar and Wichita State before coming back to Arlington on Feb. 26.
