SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Following a short trip in California, the UT Arlington men's tennis team (8-3) returns to the UTA Tennis Center for a 2 p.m. match against Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Tuesday, March 10.
UTA NOTES
- The Mavericks are 4-14 against the Islanders since the turn of the century. In their contest earlier this season, the Mavs fell in Corpus Christi 3-4.
- Angel Diaz earned his first ranking of his career, coming in at No. 110 in the ITA ranking. He now sits at 7-0 in the spring in singles play.
- UTA is winning 71 percent of their singles matches this spring and 61 percent overall.
- Eduard Simo and Solano Caffarena are 5-1 this year in the No. 2 doubles position, the best winning percentage of any tandem.
ON DECK
The Mavs will be back on the UTA campus for a match against The Citadel at 5 pm on Saturday, March 14.
