ARLINGTON - In an effort to promote change and solidarity in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, UTA Athletics has partnered with Old Hat Creative to join the #BlackLivesMatter Sports Poster Project. The sports poster is an iconic representation of athletic organizations nationwide, as we see them hanging in the bars and restaurants surrounding college campuses and in the bedrooms of our most passionate fans.

Old Hat has developed a #BlackLivesMatter poster template for any collegiate or professional athletic programs that wish to take part in the initiative. The service is being offered at no cost to those sports organizations wishing to participate and so far about 50 colleges and universities have requested to participate since the project was announced on Monday, June 8.

"Seeing the protests around the nation and the unity of people coming together in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, we wanted to do something to unite collegiate athletics in the fight against racial injustice," said Zac Logsdon, CEO/Founder of Old Hat. "The response has been outstanding and we are honored to have UT Arlington among the many athletic organizations to take part in this important initiative."

Posters will be available on campus free of charge when the fall semester begins.
