ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington men's tennis team fell to the UTSA Roadrunners on Saturday at the Arlington Tennis Center, 4-1. The match only included singles play due to time constraints following a weather delay.
Miguel Cabrera got things going for the Mavericks, taking the No. 3 position 6-3, 6-3. That would be the only match the Maverick would win though.
Angel Diaz fell in the No. 1 position 6-4, 6-2.
The final three matches came down to the tiebreaker set.
Alejandro Hayen fell 4-6, 6-4, 2-6 on court four before
Daichi Akiyoshi fell 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 on court six.
The Roadrunners ended the match by taking court two over
Alan Sau Franco. Sau Franco took set one 6-3, but fell in the next two consecutive set 6-3, 6-2.
