ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington women's tennis team picked up their seventh win of the season in as many games, sweeping Southeastern Oklahoma State 7-0 at the UTA Tennis Center on Wednesday morning.
The Mavericks won the doubles point quickly, giving up just one game in the winning matches.
Polina Akimova and
Nanaka Takeuchi took court one 6-0 before
Almudena Boza and
Carla Pons took court three 6-1.
Momoka Horiguchi and Bruan Casasampere were winning 4-2 when their match was called.
UTA took five of the six singles matches in straight sets.
Liz Chileno didn't give up a game on court two, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Momoka Horiguchi was one game away from perfect, taking court one 6-0, 6-1.
Carla Pons took No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-1.
Polina Akimova continued the winning with a 6-3, 6-0 win on court three.
Nanaka Takeuchi took a hard-fought win on court six 7-5, 6-2.
Bruna Casasampere took the tiebreaker set on court five 4-6, 6-2, 10-4.
