After the series loss, UTA is left with an overall record of 3-14 and 0-3 in Sun Belt Conference competition.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

Third baseman KJ Murphy led the Mavs at the plate going 2-3 including a solo home run and an RBI-double. The senior was responsible for both runs and two of the three hits in the contest while freshman Jessica Carreon reached first on a bunt for the Mavericks' third hit.

Senior Jojo Valencia got her fourth start of the season on the mound for the Mavericks. The San Antonio native threw 1.2 innings and allowed two hits over just eight batters before being replaced by sophomore Kenedy Hines (1 IP) who allowed five runs facing 9 batters.
