MONROE, Louisiana – The UT Arlington softball team's offense exploded Friday tallying 18 runs off 20 hits over the course of two games to clinch the series over ULM.
Center fielder
Reagan Hukill led the Mavericks offensively finishing 4-7 on the day with four RBI with a solo home run – making that her fifth long ball of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE – Game 1 vs. ULM (W 7-0)
The Mavericks tallied 10 hits as sophomore Hukill paced UTA's offense finishing 2-4 with three RBI followed by shortstop
Emily Evans who went 1-3 collecting two RBI.
Senior Jojo Valencia started in the circle for the mound and threw five innings only allowing two hits. The lefty reached a game high of seven strikeouts to keep the Warhawks off the board.

Allie Gardiner came in for relief and pitched the remainder of the contest allowing just one hit as Valencia earned the win.
PLAY BY PLAY
- UTA's offense struggled for the first three inning before a fourth inning rally plated four runs courtesy of a double from Hukill followed by base hits from Hines and Evans.
- The Mavericks carried the momentum into the fifth inning where Miller and Hukill knocked in three more runs combined to extend their lead 7-0.
- The pitching duo of Valencia and Gardiner limited the Warhawks to just three hits without a single earned run.

Third baseman
KJ Murphy went a perfect 3-3 (3 RBI) at the plate notching her third long ball of the year while Hukill remained hot at the plate going 2-3 with a solo home run – making that her fifth of the season.
Junior
Laura Henriksen earned her eighth start in the circle for the Mavericks and pitched two innings limiting ULM to two hits before
Kenedy Hines made an appearance in the third inning and went on to throw two.
Allie Gardiner came in the circle to pitch the remainder of the game and kept the Warhawks off the board giving Hines her third win of the season.

- UTA got the ball rolling in their first at-bats with 10 runs scored off 8 hits including a two-run home run from the bat of Murphy.
- Hukill notched her fifth home run of the season in the second inning to extend UTA's lead 11-0.
- The Warhawks scratched their first run of the game from a base hit up the middle in the bottom of the second inning.
- UTA's pitching powered through five innings limiting ULM to just one run in the 11-1 run-rule victory.
