ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team won the Sun Belt Conference series against App State despite the 2-0 loss at Allan Saxe Field Sunday.
The Mavericks sit on an overall record of 16-29 with a Sun Belt record of 9-11.

The Mavericks' offense produced just three hits in the contest as senior

Reagan Hukill finished with one hit each.
Senior
JoJo Valencia got the start on Senior Day in the circle and went on to throw two innings allowing one hit.
Junior
Laura Henriksen replaced Valencia on the mound and allowed two runs off three hits. The right hander faced seven batters before sophomore
Kenedy Hines came in.
Hines threw three innings and limited the Mountaineers' offense to just two hits as UTA could not plate any runs across giving Henriksen the loss.
PLAY BY PLAY
- Catcher Ogle knocked a double to right center in the third inning that placed her in scoring position but UTA couldn't find a way to plate her across.
- After three scoreless innings, App State plated their first two runs of the game off a sacrifice fly and an infield single.
- The Mavs' offense remained quiet for the remainder of the game falling to the Mountaineers 2-0.

The Mavericks will wrap up regular season play in San Marcos next weekend as they take on Texas State Thursday (May 6) through Saturday (May 8).
