HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The UT Arlington women's golf team continues its fall season this Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 27-28, when the Mavericks head to Sam Houston's Bearkat Invitational at Elkins Lake Country Club.

INSIDE THE LINEUP

• In UTA's season-opening tournament at the USA Intercollegiate, Murray recorded her first under-par round of the year with a 71 that consisted of three birdies, two bogeys and 13 pars. The graduate student led the Mavs with a three-round 219 (+3) total to tie for 25^th.

• In her UTA debut three weeks ago, Hlynsdottir led the field with 44 pars over 54 holes and totaled 226 (76, 73, 77).

• Gonzalez contended in the Mavericks' first fall tournament at the USA Intercollegiate where she looks to improve after she tied for 81^st. The senior recorded a total of 230 and posted rounds of 77 or lower (77, 77, 76).

• Howard will be making her first appearance in the team lineup this season after she competed in four tournaments last year averaging 79.92 across 12 rounds. The senior tabbed the best finish of her career (10^th) at the UT Arlington Invitational in the fall of 2020 where she competed as an individual.

• Garber contested in five events for the Mavericks in the 2020-21 season with an average score of 79.50 over 14 rounds. Garber is one of only three players in program history to have competed in more than 100 rounds, and her career scoring average of 78.77 ranks as the 3^rd- best all-time.

LAST TIME AT THE BEARKAT INVITATIONAL

• While the host course has changed from Raven Nest Golf Club to Elkins Lake Country Club, UTA still has positive memories from the last time it competed at the Bearkat Invitational.
• The Mavs posted a 3^rd-place finish back in March – the program's highest finish ever in a tournament with double-figure schools.
• UTA shots a 912 total in March, representing the 9^th-best 54-hole score in program history.

UTA will pick right back up next week to compete at New Mexico State's Aggie Invitational Oct. 4-6.
