FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-- Santiago Giamichelle and Bautista Vilicich represented the UT Arlington tennis team at the ITF M15 Fayetteville tournament over the past two days in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Giamichelle took care of business with a straight-set win in the first round qualifying against Piotr Pawlak of Texas Tech, 6-0, 6-3. He then fell to Guillaume Dalmasso of Santa Clara in a tight third set tiebreaker, 6-2, 3-6, 10-7.

Vilicich also won his first round in qualifying, pulling out a close match against Andreja Petrovic of Florida State. He dropped the first set 3-6 but came back to win the second set 6-4 and closed out the tiebreaker 10-4. 

In his second round match, Vilicich lost a tough match to Nitzan Ricklis of University of San Francisco, 6-3, 4-6, and 11-9 in the tiebreaker.

The Mavericks do not have any more fall matches on the schedule, but any other events will be posted.
