ALABAMA - The UT Arlington men's tennis team (12-9, 1-3 SBC) will end its regular season this weekend, traveling to Alabama to take on Troy (April 2) and South Alabama (April 3). Both matches are set to begin at 9 am.
Maks Lukman and
Alan Sau Franco lead the Mavs with 12 wins on the season in dual competition. Sau Franco has 19 total wins dating back to tournament action, while also leading the Mavericks with a 3-1 record against Sun Belt competition. Four other Mavericks have double-digit singles wins including tournament action -
Daichi Akiyoshi (11),
Ricardo Alban (11),
Miguel Cabrera (16), and
Solano Caffarena (10).
Anton Shepp and
Miguel Cabrera have turned in on in doubles competition, leading the Mavericks with a 7-5 record on the year which includes a 3-1 record on court two.
SCOUTING TROY
The Trojans enter this weekend with a 13-9 record on the year and 0-3 in the SBC. Five Trojans have double-digit singles wins in dual matches, led by Vito Lilnares who has a 17-4 record. Carles Anton is second on the team with a 16-5 record, including a 15-4 record on court two.
SCOUTING SOUTH ALABAMA
The Jaguars are 12-6 overall and 2-1 in the Sun Belt Conference. South Alabama has won two straight and are 8-0 at home. Sebastien Collard and Louis Delcour lead the Jags with 11 wins in dual matches and 21 wins overall. Delcour also leads the Jags in doubles action, alongside partner Jack Clements. The duo is 9-5 on court one.
