LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The UT Arlington baseball team lost to the Little Rock Trojans on a walk-off home run on Sunday afternoon in extra innings, 6-5 at Gary Hogan Field in Little Rock.
Three Mavericks pitched in the game.
Cade Winquest started (ND), allowing four runs in 2.0 innings pitched.
David Moffat tossed 6.0 innings, allowing one earned run.
Gray Bailey (L, 3-3) threw the final inning of play, allowing one run off one hit.
UTA finished with 14 hits in the game.

Zach Henry, and
Cade Sumbler each finished with three hits. Henry finished with three RBI, while Sumbler finished with two RBI.
A leadoff single was all the Trojans needed to score in the first, stealing second before two groundouts brought in the first run of the game.
The Mavericks responded in the top of the second, using two, two-run home runs off the bats of
Zach Henry and
Cade Sumbler to score four runs.
Little Rock fired back in the bottom frame using two singles and a walk to load the bases before back-to-back singles evened the score at four.
Scoring halted for the next four innings as the pitchers and defense was the offenses on lock down. But with runners on first and second in the seventh inning, Henry connected on a line drive to left field to put the Mavericks back on top 5-4, driving in his third run of the game.
Little Rock would once again respond, using a leadoff double and two fly balls to score the tying run in the bottom of the eighth inning.
After the Mavericks left runners stranded on first and second in the 10
th innings, the Trojans hit a walk off home run with the leadoff batter to end the game, 6-5.
The Mavericks will travel to Abilene Christian on Tuesday for their second game of the year against the Wildcats. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. in Abilene.
