ARLINGTON, Texas – In a 2-1 victory over ULM, the UT Arlington softball team completed their second conference series sweep this season Sunday afternoon at Allan Saxe Field.
UTA now sits on an overall record of 15-14 with an even 6-6 record in Sun Belt Conference play.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: vs. ULM (W, 2-1)
UTA tabbed five hits Sunday afternoon as
Reagan Hukill (1-3),
Morgan Rios (1-3),
Courtney Ogle (1-1),
Meagan Smith (1-2) and
Jessica Carreon (1-2) came away with one hit each. Carreon was the lone Mav that was responsible for putting UTA on top 2-1 with an RBI-double over the left fielder's head in the bottom of the fifth.
Freshman pitcher
Jessica Adams continues to be key for the Mavericks in the circle as she as she threw her tenth complete game of the season in the 2-1 win over the Warhawks.
Adams tabbed five strikeouts and just one run off two hits. The right-hander went on to record her ninth win of the year.
PLAY BY PLAY: vs. ULM (W, 2-1)
- The Warhawks got on the board early in the first inning as ULM's Korie Kreps knocked a solo home run to left.
- Ogle got things started in the bottom of the fifth inning with a lead-off single to left field before Smith followed it up with a bunt single. The Mavericks jumped to a 2-1 lead courtesy of an RBI-double from Carreon.
- UTA went on to sweep the Warhawks in a 2-1 victory giving Adams her ninth win of the season.

The Mavericks will head to Austin to face No. 15 Texas Wednesday, April 6 at 6 p.m. at Red & Charline McCombs Field.
