ARLINGTON, Texas – The bats of the UT Arlington softball team struggled in Saturday's final game against the Bobcats at Allan Saxe Field with a final score of 4-0.
UTA moves onto an overall record of 22-25 and a conference record of 12-15.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: vs. Texas State (L, 4-0)
The Mavericks' offense struggled Saturday afternoon as UTA could not find a way to knock a single hit, giving Texas State's Jessica Mullins and Karsen Pierce a combined no-hitter.
Freshman
Jessica Adams tabbed a solid performance in the circle as she went on to throw 6.2 innings allowing two earned runs off six hits.
Senior
Laura Henriksen came into the game and threw just one out.
The Mavs fell to the Bobcats 4-0 giving Adams the loss. The righty now sits on an overall record of 12-15.
PLAY BY PLAY: vs. Texas State (L, 4-0)
- The game was a pitcher's dual as it remained a scoreless game through six innings. Texas State plated its four runs in the top of the seventh inning off three singles. UTA struggled to get anything going, falling to the Cats 4-0.
ON DECK
The Mavericks will look ahead to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Mobile, Alabama which is set to begin Tuesday, May 10.
