ARLINGTON – Since day one on the job as UT Arlington's head men's basketball coach last April,
Greg Young has made it a focal point to emphasize the history and tradition of the program. Now, the UTA locker room helps showcase much of that Maverick lore.
In an aesthetic re-brand of the locker room in the College Park Center, Young has included the following updates to the walls:
- A section of the old court from Texas Hall which former players can sign upon their graduation or return to campus.
- An image wall of former standout players which comprise an unofficial Hall of Honor.
- A board recognizing former Mavericks who are playing professionally.
- A wall highlighting the conference regular season and tournament championships won by UTA, in addition to postseason appearances.
- A floor-to-ceiling image of the College Park Center during the 2017 NIT run.
Take a look inside the re-vamped locker room and hear from Young about the decisions to feature so many historical moments and players.
