ARLINGTON, TEXAS --- The UT Arlington volleyball team (17-7, 6-5 WAC) will look to capitalize on the momentum of Saturday's big road win over UTRGV in a 6 p.m. Monday night matchup against Stephen F. Austin (22-3, 11-0 WAC) inside the College Park Center.
As part of the night's festivities, the athletic department will host trick-or-treating in the CPC's main concourse before the game, and there will be pumpkin smashing fun available post game.
During the match,
Alli Wells will continue her chase for 2,000 career digs as the graduate libero sits just six shy of the milestone. On top of that, she needs only 40 more to surpass Alicia Shaffer (2,033, 2008-11) for the program's all-time record. On top of that, she is just two away from achieving 100 career matches with double-digit digs, as well as one shy of 70 career outings with at least 15.
THE TERMINATOR
Brianna Ford had her streak of consecutive double-doubles snapped at six in the win over UTRGV, but the senior outside hitter continued her menacing domination over the conference with a match-high 18 kills, a .333 hitting percentage, eight digs and five blocks. Over the past seven matches, she is hitting .288 while averaging 19.1 kills, 12.3 digs, 4.4 blocks, 1.4 aces and 1.3 assists per match.

With her recent play, Ford has also elevated herself into a spot among the top 15 attackers in program history. The Amarillo native has 1,157 career kills, which puts her in 14th place on the program's all-time list as she surpassed Shari Parks (1,148, 1984-87) on Saturday. Furthermore, her 38 career double-doubles - including 12 this year - is also 15th-most in program history since 1987, just behind Chris Rudiger, who produced 39 double-doubles in the late 80s.
GOING THE DISTANCE
The Mavs went five sets in four of the past five matches, splitting them at 2-2. Overall, UTA is 3-3 this season and 29-24 in the
J.T. Wenger era in five-set matches.
SERIES HISTORY
Among current WAC teams, UTA hasn't faced any team more than Stephen F. Austin. In 62 all-time meetings, the Mavs hold a 31-30-1 record. SFA has won four of the past seven matchups, including a three-set win in Nacogdoches in September. The Mavs are 15-10 all-time at home in the series.
BEAST IN THE MIDDLE
After missing most of non-conference play due to an injury, senior middle blocker
Paige Reagor is rounding into form, totaling 72 kills at a .378 clip along with 31 blocks over the past five matches. She has at least 10 kills and five blocks in four of those outings and recorded a season-best 22 terminations against Southern Utah. She produced an incredible 13 kills with zero errors and a .684 hitting percentage in Saturday's win over UTRGV.
Reagor even became the first UTA volleyball player to record a double-double in kills and blocks on Oct. 14 against Tarleton since Briana Sharatt totaled 10 kills and 11 blocks against Texas Southern on Sept. 12, 2014. In fact, Reagor produced just the 20th kill-block double-double in the program's history since 1987, and she's just the 12th player since then to record at least one.
