Reagor, Ford pace Mavs in win over Utah Valley

Wells moves closer to history, Blank continues strong play

ARLINGTON --- Paige Reagor delivered another outstanding offensive performance to lead the UT Arlington volleyball team (18-8, 7-6 WAC) past Utah Valley (9-15, 6-7 WAC) 25-16, 18-25, 25-22, 26-24 inside the College Park Center on Thursday.

Reagor finished with a match-high 16 kills at a .583 clip while adding six blocks (one solo). It was her seventh straight outing with double-digit terminations, and she has just four errors over 64 attempts with 41 kills over the past three matches.

Brianna Ford, meanwhile, assisted Reagor to form a strong 1-2 punch with 11 kills, 17 digs, six blocks (one solo), one assist and an ace. In fact, that lone ace came on match point after she had secured her eighth double-double over the past nine matches. Overall, it was Ford's 40th career double-double.

The Mavs also received seven kills, two digs and a solo block from Sophie Ocampo, who now has at least five terminations in each of the past six outings.

A big reason for those offensive performances was the continued strong play of Mollie Blank, who registered 37 assists, 12 digs, three blocks, two aces and a block. It was her eighth consecutive outing with at least 33 assists, and it was the second straight double-double (27th career) for the reigning WAC setter of the week.

Defensively, Alli Wells led all players with a match-high 19 digs along with five assists. In doing so, she is now just nine digs shy of breaking Alicia Shaffer's (2,033, 2008-11) all-time program's record. Furthermore, it was her 100th career match with double-digit digs, including her 70th with at least 15.

Evyn Snook matched Blank with a team-best two aces, while fellow rookie Alexis Bull finished third on the team with three blocks. Alyssa Duran (8) and Jalie Tritt (7) combined for 15 digs.

NOTES
UTA improved to 2-2 all-time against Utah Valley with the win, recording a season series sweep of the Wolverines.

The Mavs hit .129 as a team, which was their lowest performance of the season in a win. On the flip side, however, they held Utah Valley to a .077 hitting percentage, which was the lowest they've held an opponent this season.

The match featured 24 ties and nine lead changes.

Reagor notched 15+ kills for the eighth time in her career, including her second with the Mavs.
