The Lady Mavs had three players register double figures in scoring led by Avery Brittingham with 16 points. Taliyah Clark finished with 10 while Hannah Humphrey chipped in with 12 points off the bench.

GAME FLOW
The Lady Mavs offense came out stagnant, missing their first seven shots of the game before a Brittingham layup with 6:46 left in the first quarter got UTA on the board.

UTA put up 21 shots in the first quarter, the most shots they put up in any quarter during the game but were only able to hit on seven of those 21 shots for a 33-shooting percentage in the quarter. The seven points off turnovers in the first quarter for UTA were the most during any quarter for either team.

The four second chance points and three three-pointers in the first quarter kept the Lady Mavs in the game, heading into the second only down three, 21-18.

The Lady Mavs registered the first points scored in the second quarter thanks to a Clark three-pointer that knotted the game up at 21 points apiece. USF would immediately respond with a quick jumper to put the Bulls back up by two, a lead they would never surrender for the remainder of the game.

UTA would be held scoreless for the next three minutes while the Bulls would go on to extend their lead by 11 before another three from Clark would stop the USF run, making it a 32-24 game.

The Lady Mavs would battle for the remainder of the quarter but would head into the locker room at half down by 12, 42-30.

Coming out of halftime, USF would pile it on in the third quarter, going up by as many as 24.

In the fourth quarter, the Lady Mavs would buckle down and play some stingy defense, holding USF to two points in the first five minutes of the quarter. UTA would go on to cut the Bulls lead down to nine with five minutes left in the game.

USF responded with a quick jumper to put the Bulls back up by 11 and would remain up by double digits for duration of the game.
