MATCH HAS BEEN MOVED TO SATURDAY FEB. 11 AT 12 P.M.
ARLINGTON, Texas– The UT Arlington men's tennis team (2-2) is set to be back on court to face UT San Antonio on Saturday at noon at the UTA Tennis Center.
After canceling their trip to the University of Louisiana tournament on Feb. 3, the Mavericks are looking towards continuing their 2-0 winning streak at home. They defeated Prairie View A&M 6-1 and Southeastern Oklahoma State 4-1.
Joan Torres Espinosa has won his last two singles matches at the No. 4 spot with wins over Southeastern Oklahoma and Prairie View. He holds a 3-1 singles record going into Friday's match.
Santiago Giamichelle also holds a 3-1 singles record for the spring season. At the No. 3 spot, he defeated Southeastern Oklahoma and Prairie View, along with a strong 7-5, 7-5 win over New Mexico in the Mavericks' opening match of the season.
SCOUTING UTSA
The Roadrunners are 1-3 in dual matches in the spring season. The Mavericks hold a 26-17 record over UTSA, but have lost the past three matches. Their last match was in 2022, and the last win was in 2019.
