GULF SHORES, Ala. – With a 2nd-round 316, the UT Arlington women's golf team concluded day two at the Bama Beach Bash Monday from Gulf Shores Golf Club.
Although the Mavericks moved down one spot in the team leaderboard, UTA could still move up in Tuesday' final round as the squad is just three shots shy of Troy in 12th.
Individually, both
Hannah Choi and
Madison Le are tied for the best par-3 scoring average of 2.90 across the 81-player field.

Le
- The freshman played the front nine in +3 with a birdie on 3 followed by back-to-back bogeys on 8 and 9 before entering the back side. Le carried her momentum into the closing nine, but two additional bogeys on 15 and 16 set her card back, settling for a 77.
Choi
- After opening with two-straight bogeys on 1 and 2, the senior settled in nicely after three birdies on 3, 4 and 7 would get her card back down to even-par. Choi put up five bogeys across the final 10 holes, capping the round of 76. However, she would be able to roll her fourth birdie of the round – which came on 17.
Gabel
- Gabel played the front nine in 2-over with three bogeys (1, 3, 5) and a birdie on 4 before tackling the back nine. After carding eight-consecutive pars, four hiccups over the final five holes derailed her momentum, turning in a 2nd-round 80.
Howard
- Fifth year Howard logged a 2nd-round 83 Monday as her round consisted of nine bogeys, one triple and eight pars.
Rodriguez
- Freshman Rodriguez improved her play by three strokes from Sunday's first round as she finished with an 84. Although multiple big numbers prevented her from gaining any momentum, Rodriguez would be able to card nine pars.

The Mavericks will wrap up action in Gulf Shores with the final round of the Bama Beach Bash Tuesday, Mar. 21 from Gulf Shores Golf Club.
