ARLINGTON, Texas– The UT Arlington men's tennis team (9-6) is set for a stretch of home matches, starting with No. 44 ranked Oklahoma and first WAC opponent UT Rio Grande Valley. They will take on the Sooners at 2 p.m. Thursday and the Vaqueros at 10 a.m. Sunday, both at the UTA Tennis Center.
 
The Mavericks are looking to rebound after their loss against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. They also hope to continue their six match winning streak at home.
 
Freshman Lachlan Robertson has won four consecutive matches for the Mavs. He has defeated opponents from Lamar, Furman, Wichita State and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to move to 9-3 on the season.
 
Anton Shepp has also been key to the Maverick's success, going 10-4 as the primary No. 1 player. He has tallied wins over UTSA, Lamar and Wichita State and looks to come back from his loss to the Islanders.
 
Dante Teramo has won three consecutive matches between Courts 5 and 6. He has earned two tiebreaker wins over Lamar and Wichita State, and defeated Furman's Chad Nash 6-0, 6-0 to hold an 8-4 record for the season.
 
Teramo and Santiago Giamichelle have been key in doubles success for the Mavs, holding a 7-3 record as a team. They have been instrumental in winning the early advantage against Wichita State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Furman.
 
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA
The Sooners are 10-7 on the season. They have defeated ranked opponents such as No. 28 Middle Tennessee, No. 57 Tulsa and No. 42 Arizona State. The Sooners hold a 6-3 record over the Mavericks. Their last meeting was in 2021, with OU winning 4-0. Nathan Han is ranked No. 121 in the nation and holds an 11-3 record for the Sooners.

The Vaqueros are 5-12 on the season. The Mavericks hold a 22-4 record over the Vaqueros after their last meeting in 2015. This will be the first Western Athletic Conference match for each team.
