Mavs Give Back Week Set For April 24-28

Create A Lasting Impact For UTA Student-Athletes While Competing In Challenges

ARLINGTON – In an effort to engage the campus community in a collective fundraising effort, UT Arlington will be holding a Mavs Give Back Week, beginning Monday, Apr. 24, and continuing until the end of Friday, Apr. 28.
 
During this One Week for UTA, join Mavericks around the globe in creating a lasting impact for our student-athletes, athletics department and university. By harnessing the power of the entire UTA community to make a difference for Maverick student-athletes, all donations made during the week go toward the department's general scholarship fund in addition to each of its teams.
 
Leveraged by a $10,000 anonymous gift, three challenges have been established to ignite that competitive spirit which has become synonymous with UTA. The trio of challenges for Mavs Give Back Week are listed below (winners announced May 1):
  • GIVE '23 CHALLENGE: The two (2) sport programs that receive the most gifts of $23 or more will each receive additional funding for their program. The challenge winner will earn $1,500, while the runner-up will earn $1,000.
     
  • GO BIG OR GO HOME CHALLENGE: The two (2) largest gifts made to any sport program will be matched (up to $1,750 per sport). If there are multiple gifts of equal value, the first gift made wins!
     
  • MAVERICK CLUB MATCH: For every gift made to any UTA Athletics fund, a $23 matching gift will be made to the Maverick Club to support student-athlete scholarships.

What Is Mavs Give Back?
Led by UTA's Office of Annual Giving, Mavs Give Back Week aims to inspire alumni, parents and friends of UTA to contribute to an area that they are passionate about. Anyone can support at any point throughout the week.

Can I Choose To Donate To A Specific Fund?
Yes! By clicking the donate button at the beginning of this release, you can designate which athletics area your gift should be allocated (select the 'View Additional Giving Opportunities' under Designations on the giving page).

UT Arlington Athletics is home to more than 225 student-athletes across 15 different programs. Your support allows us to provide our student-athletes with an incredible academic and athletic experience.
