ARLINGTON, TEXAS – The UT Arlington volleyball team (17-2, 7-0 WAC) continued its first-place dominance with its fourth-consecutive sweep (25-11, 25-21, 25-22) over the Grand Canyon Lopes (12-6, 5-2 WAC) this Thursday to remain unbeaten in Western Athletic Conference play. The Mavs have now rattled off eight consecutive win in their twelfth sweep of the season.
The Mavs put together a consistent offensive presence in the sweep with 48 total kills as a team. Led by the reigning conference player of the week,
Brianna Ford put together 19 kills while Cansu Günaydin and
Sjakkie Donkers each had 10 in the win.
In the sweep, the Mavs had 46 digs as a team and held the Lopes to a .069 hitting percentage in a strong defensive front.
Mollie Blank led the team with 12, while
Samantha Glenn had 11.

The Mavs return to the College Park Center to face the Utah Tech Trailblazers (10-6, 4-2 WAC) on Saturday at 12 p.m. CT for Dig Pink. The Mavericks are looking to break the attendance record on Saturday.
