BEAUMONT, Texas – Day one of the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational ended with your UT Arlington men's tennis team picking up four opening day victories, including three on the singles courts.
Yazid Lahjomri defeated Texas A&M – Corpus Chrisit's Nico Trebuchet by a final score of 6-3, 6-2 in the opener of Pool A play. In Pool B action,
Pedro Sasso defeated the Islanders' Josep Zapletal by a final score of 6-2, 6-2. In doubles action, the team of Lahjomri and Sasso won 6-2 on Flight One of doubles play.
Andres Medus defeated the Islanders' Harry Fouzas by a final score of 6-2, 6-3.
Meethre Barot and Daniel Pérez-Caraballo both fell in their singles matches in tightly contested matches.
