ARLINGTON, Texas – Western Athletic Conference officials on Wednesday announced the 2023-24 Academic All-WAC honorees for winter sports, with UT Arlington placing 13 student-athletes on the list.
Men's indoor track and field led the way with nine selections, while women's indoor track and field had four members.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year at UTA, possess at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests this season.
First-year student-athletes who meet the other criteria but have not yet been at UTA for a full year will be eligible for the WAC's end-of-year release.

Those 13 join six UTA volleyball, three men's cross country and two women's cross country student-athletes who were named to the WAC's Fall Sports list: Alli Wells, Mollie Blank, Brianna Ford, Paige Reagor, Sophie Skinner, Jalie Tritt, Josue Granados, Brandon Wilk, Brian Guevara, Claire Compher and Rachael Hartly.
