WACO, Texas – The UT Arlington softball team excelled on all fronts, leading to a midweek victory over power-five opponent Baylor on Tuesday from Getterman Stadium.
"I'm incredibly proud of our fight tonight," said Dill. "This team competed hard every single pitch. Gracie and Emilie were tough to beat in the circle and defense played solid behind them. The entire lineup had gritty at-bats and it was a great all-around team win."
Tuesday's win marked the first against BU since Feb. 22, 2022, when the Mavericks defeated the Bears 12-3 in five innings from Allan Saxe Field.
Head coach
Kara Dill and company improves their overall record to 18-26 on the season as they look to carry their momentum heading into a three-game conference series with Abilene Christian this upcoming weekend.
