ARLINGTON – UT Arlington softball and head coach
Kara Dill have announced the addition of California native Madisen McDonnell to the 2024 signing class.
McDonnell will join the softball program as part of the 2024-25 roster.
Outside of high school, the right-handed pitcher plays travel ball for So Cal Athletics but was previously on the Cal Cruisers where she served as the captain.
Madisen McDonnell | P/1B | 5-7 | Capistrano Valley High School | San Juan Capistrano, Calif.
McDonnell is a pitcher/first baseman hailing from out west in California as she plans to major in business upon her arrival to Arlington. A CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Player of the Year, four-time First Team All-League and four-year student-athlete, McDonnell soared to 23 career home runs while also holding a 1.87 ERA over her time at Capistrano Valley High School.

"We are so excited to add Madi to our roster next year," shared Dill. "She is a true competitor and winner on and off the field."
McDonnell is the daughter of Marc and Jen McDonnell and has three siblings – Maric, Masen and Malea McDonnell. Masen is a current pitcher at Cal State Bakersfield and both of her parents also played baseball and softball at the University of Hawaii Hilo.
