RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The #7 UT Arlington softball team gears up for the Western Athletic Conference Tournament with a 12 p.m. CT contest against #6 California Baptist on Wednesday, May 7 from John C. Funk Stadium.
Following the elimination-game win, the Mavs will take on #3 Southern Utah at 6 p.m CT on Wednesday.

UTA NOTES
- The #7 Mavericks are set to face #6 California Baptist on Wednesday, May 6 from John C. Funk Stadium for the opening round of the WAC Tournament in Riverside, California.
- UTA will need to win in order to advance to a 6 p.m. CT game against #3 Southern Utah on Wednesday.
- The Mavs are coming off a 1-2 weekend against Seattle U to round out regular season at Allan Saxe Field as UTA sits on an overall record of 24-24 and conference record of 10-14.
- Junior Kailee Bautista leads the Maverick offense with a batting average of .319 across 48 games played. With a team-high of 43 hits, the Texas native also holds the most doubles with 15 on the season.
- Transfer Mia McNulty has had a stellar last few weekends at the plate as the power hitter paces the Mavs' lineup with 36 RBI and 11 home runs which is currently tied for the second-most in the conference.
- Senior pitcher Jessica Adams leads the pitching rotation with over 75 innings of with a low ERA of 2.71.
