UTA Alumnus and former student-athlete David Daniel ('83 BS, Management) has pledged an impactful gift in support of The University of Texas at Arlington's Athletics Department.

Daniels' gift will provide important support for Athletics, helping drive the success of UTA's student-athletes by offsetting the cost of important resources such as tuition, tutoring, nutrition, sports equipment, and more.

"I was happy to donate because I have a great passion for UTA and the Athletics Department," Daniels said. "I really want to help athletics grow, and if not us as alumni, then who?"

Daniel has been a passionate supporter of UTA and the Athletics Department for many years. Arriving on campus in the early 1980s, he received a degree in management and was an integral member of the men's golf team.

"We are incredibly appreciative to David Daniel's gift and his continued support of Maverick Athletics," said Jon Fagg, UTA Athletics Director. "David loves UTA and wants to be part of pushing our athletics program to the next level."
