ARLINGTON, TEXAS - The UT Arlington volleyball team defeated Dallas Baptist 3-1 in a pre-determined four-set exhibition match against Dallas Baptist inside the College Park Center Friday night.
The Mavericks won the first two sets 26-24, 25-19 before falling in the third set, 25-19. The Mavs were able to rebound and win the fourth and final set of the evening 25-15 to capitalize a 3-1 victory.
Brianna Ford was the lone Mav in double-digit kills with 11, while
Mollie Blank provided a technician's touch with 25 assists.
UTA is slated to open the regular season next weekend in the Sawyer Camillo Memorial Classic hosted by Louisiana. The Mavs open against Murray State at 3 p.m. on Friday before taking on Jackson State on Saturday and Louisiana on Sunday.
