Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

ARLINGTON, Texas – With the season just around the corner, the UT Arlington men's and women's cross country teams announced the 2024 schedule.
 
The Mavericks are slated to participate in five races this fall ahead of the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
 
UTA will open the season on the road as they travel to Fort Worth for the John McKenzie TCU Invitational on Friday, August 30th.
 
The Mavs return home on Saturday, September 7, for the annual Gerald Richey UTA Invitational. For the fourth straight season, UTA will return to Lynn Creek Park at Joe Pool Lake in Grand Prairie for the home meet.
 
UTA will face stern competition in their next three events, heading to College Station on September 13 for the Texas A&M Invitational. The Mavs then travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas on September 27 for the annual Chile Pepper Invitational, featuring some of the top teams in the nation. The Mavs conclude the season by traveling back to College Station on October 18 for the Arturo Barrios Invitational hosted by Texas A&M.
 
"We are excited for the upcoming season," said Head Coach John Sauerhage. "This schedule allows us to face some great competition throughout the year to prepare us for the conference championships and potentially NCAA meets. Very excited to see how the team performs."
 
The WAC Championship date is set for Friday, November 1, in Orem, Utah. 
 
The NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville is scheduled for Friday, November 14, hosted by Texas A&M. The NCAA Championships are slated for Saturday, November 23, hosted by Wisconsin, in Madison.
