ARLINGTON, TEXAS - The UT Arlington volleyball team defeated the McNeese Cowgirls in a 3-0 sweep (25-15) (25-17) (25-20) in the second match of the UTA Classic this Saturday. The win marked the squad's fifth straight win, and fourth sweep of the early season.
The Mavericks controlled both of the first two sets behind a stellar outing from
Brianna Ford and
Paige Reagor. Ford, a graduate student, had 13 kills in the win along with five digs and five blocks. Reagor, a native of Frisco, Texas put together six blocks and six kills in the win.
Jalie Tritt played in sets two and three and made an instant impact with five kills behind a .500 kill percentage.

J.T. Wenger. "We were able to control most of the match behind a well-balanced attack. Everyone contributed and played hard. We're meshing real well and I'm looking forward to finishing out the UTA Classic strong tomorrow."
NEXT UP
The Mavericks conclude the UTA Classic inside the College Park Center tomorrow at 3 p.m. for a matchup against the UL-Monroe Warhawks. Before the match, Santa Clara and McNeese will play at 12 p.m.
