COLLEGE STATION – The UT Arlington cross country teams wrapped up the regular season with Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational that took place on Friday, Oct. 17 from Watts Cross Country Course.
Overall, the Mavericks were led by freshman
Dorcas Jepkosgei after posting a 16th place finish with a time of 20:02.5 in the women's 6k.
Junior
Matro Jepkemboi captured a top 30 finish with a time of 20:32.4. Rounding out the women's top five finishers were
Linn Adolfsson (21:52.8),
Lauren Baur (22:19.5) and
Abigail Perez (22:22.8).
Following Friday's run, both Baur and Perez reached a new personal record in their respective collegiate careers.
On the men's side, sophomore
Toby Eaton paced UTA with a time of 24:26.0 in the men's 8k with freshman
Mateo Doherty following closely with a time of 24:27.6.
Angel Sanchez (24:39.8) posted his best time so far this season as
Rogelio Aguirre (24:49.4) and
Brian Guevara (25:33.2) also contributed to the Mavericks' total of 454 points.

The Mavs return to action with the Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships that will be hosted by UTA at Harold Patterson Sports Complex on Friday, Oct. 31.
