COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The UT Arlington men's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Regional Tournament from the Mitchell Tennis Center on the campus of Texas A&M.
The lone returner for the Mavericks,
Yazid Lahjomri finished the tournament with a 2-1 record and making it to the Round of 16 in the main draw where he fell to Texas A&M's Togan Tokac. He picked up impressive wins over Texas Tech's Thomas Van Den Dooren and SMU's Jerry Barton.
Both
Finbar McGarvey and Saúl Berdullas Calviño each finished 1-2 over the course of the tournament, each falling in the first match and going over to the consolation bracket. They each picked up a win in the first match in the consolation bracket, with McGarvey falling in the Round of 32 and Berdullas Calviño in the Round of 16 in the consolation bracket.
In doubles action, the duo of Lahjomri and McGarvey picked up a win over UTSA's Timeo Bretin and Enzo Tafarelo Vargas in the Round of 64 before falling to Texas Tech in the Round of 32.
