UTA is coming off of a 117-61 win on Monday over Arlington Baptist that saw five Mavericks score in double figures and score the most points in head coach
KT Turner's tenure and most overall since 2020 when UTA also scored 117 against Howard Payne.
Missouri State enters play at 2-1 following a narrow 86-85 loss at home to Arkansas State earlier in the week.
Missouri State is led by head coach Cuonzo Martin, who is in his second year of his second stint with the Bears. Missouri State has six players averaging double figures thus far this season, led by forward Kenny Palek III (18.0 ppg and 6.0 rpg).
In addition to Palek III, fellow forward Michael Osei-Bonsu is nearly averaging a double-double (15.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg). He had nine points and seven boards in last season's meeting at home against UTA. Also in double figures for the Bears to start the season are guards Trey Williams, Jr., Zaxton King, forward Darrion Sutton and guard Cobi Williams.
Missouri State leads the all-time series narrowly, 6-5. UTA however is 4-1 against the Bears in Arlington.
