ARLINGTON, Texas --The UT Arlington Mavericks took a 3-2 lead into the eighth inning, but could not hang on and fell 6-3 to the UTSA Roadrunners this Sunday.
Senior Rhys Stevens (0-1) came out of the bullpen for UT Arlington (2-1) and took the loss. Senior Jack Hagan was a bright spot for the Mavericks, coming out of the bullpen as well and throwing five innings, giving up one run on four hits, with no walks and one strikeout.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Mavericks were trailing 2-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. The Mavericks were unable to hold the lead, as UTSA scored four times over the remaining two innings to grab the 6-3 win.
GAME NOTES
