ARLINGTON, Texas --The UT Arlington Mavericks struggled on Tuesday, falling to the No. 2/3 Oklahoma Sooners by a final score of 13-2.
Allan Saxe Field reached a new attendance record with 1,228 fans as the Mavs' previous record was 810 back on Mar. 8, 2023 against the Texas Longhorns.

Freshman Madi McDonnell (3-3) took the loss in the circle for UTA (21-14). Senior Jessica Adams started the ballgame and went one shutout inning without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out one.
In the batter's box, the Mavericks were led by junior Dee McClarity, who went 2-3 on the day with a double and an RBI. Sophomore Mia McNulty compiled a noteworthy performance as well, going 1-3 with an RBI. Senior Nicole Hill also contributed for the Mavs, putting together two hits in two trips to the plate.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 5-0, the Mavericks first put runs on the board in the third inning. UTA pushed across two runs in the frame, the big blow coming on an RBI double from McClarity. The Mavericks were unable to get any closer, as Oklahoma added eight runs to their tally on the way to a 13-2 final.
