PEORIA, IL --The UT Arlington volleyball team took care of business in four sets (25-23, 28-26, 12-25, 25-23) to knock off the Quinnipiac Bobcats Friday at Renaissance Coliseum.
The out-of-conference victory moved the Mavericks' overall record to 1-0 on the season.
The Mavericks were led by a double-double from Jalie Tritt, who registered 12 kills and 10 digs on the day. Camryn McMinn also added eight kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Samantha Glenn chipped in for with 28 digs to go with five blocks from Sophia Krichev.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks opened up an early one set to none lead, winning a nail-biter first set 25-23. UT Arlington grabbed the advantage for good at 12-11 in a set that showcased two lead changes before the Mavericks took over the lead. got a solid defensive performance from a front row that blocked four Quinnipiac attacks in the stanza.
SET 2 | UT Arlington built on a set-one win by earning a 28-26 victory in set number two. Impressive serving helped the Mavericks grab the set win. UT Arlington recorded five aces in the set win. The Mavericks opened up a 20-14 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there.
SET 3 | Quinnipiac stayed alive with a set-three victory to make it a 2-1 match. The Mavericks fell in a tough set 25-12. UT Arlington trailed by as many as 13 points as Quinnipiac grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up just once before the Bobcats took over the lead.
SET 4 | UT Arlington then responded to finish off the match with a 25-23 set-four victory. The Mavericks persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured five lead changes and was tied 11 times. Neither team was able to grab a lead larger than three points along the way. UT Arlington also supplemented their offense with four aces in the set.
