COLLEGE STATION, Texas – After a successful 2025 season opener, the UT Arlington cross country teams look ahead to the Texas A&M Invitational that is set for Saturday, Sept. 13 from Watts Cross Country Course.
The collegiate men's 8k is slated to begin at 8:00 a.m. with the women's 5k immediately following.
Aside from UTA, the field will consist of host Texas A&M, Blinn College, Dallas Baptist, Houston, North Texas, Ouachita Baptist, Our Lady of the Lake, Prairie View, Sam Houston, SMU, St. Edward's, TCU, UC San Diego and UT Tyler.
This will mark UTA's third consecutive appearance in the Aggies' event as last fall the Mavericks' men placed 7th with the women at 8th.
Last week at the Mavs' Gerald Richey Invitational, the men's squad captured a first-place finish as transfer

Mateo Doherty and
Kebede Kerlin ranked in the top 10. Eaton paced the Mavs with a time of 15:07.1 for a fourth-place finish as Doherty followed closely behind in fifth with a time of 15:10.7. Kerlin rounded out the top 10 finishers with a solid time of 15:17.6.
Freshman
Dorcas Jepkosgei is coming off her first WAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week honor after the Kenya native had quite the debut in the orange and blue with a second-place time of 16:43.5, guiding the women to a third-place finish.
