ARLINGTON, TX --The UT Arlington volleyball team fought back after droping set one to secure a 3-1 win (24-26, 25-19, 25-16, 25-22) over the Little Rock Trojans Saturday at home at College Park Center.
The non-conference win improved UT Arlington's overall record to 8-0 on the season.
The Mavericks attack was paced by Evyn Snook, who finished with 14 kills on the day, and by Jalie Tritt, who had 10. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Samantha Glenn's 27, 12 from Mira Ledermueller, and 10 more from Alondra Hernandez. From the front row, Tritt contributed five blocks.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks couldn't persevere past a furious Little Rock rally in the first set, losing 26-24 after leading by seven points at 16-9 earlier in the set.
SET 2 | UT Arlington responded to pick up a 25-19 victory in set two, evening the match at one set apiece. The Mavericks never trailed by more than five points and grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that had just one lead change before UT Arlington took over the lead.
SET 3 | UT Arlington built on that second-set success with a victory in set number three to open up a lead at two sets to one. The Mavericks led from the opening point on in the set to secure a 25-16 victory. UT Arlington ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, nine points, to close out the set. UT Arlington's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five Little Rock attacks in the stanza and capitalizing on 12 Little Rock attacking errors on the way to victory.
SET 4 | UT Arlington earned a match win with a 25-22 fourth-set victory, winning their third straight set. The Mavericks persevered in a back-and-forth set to win in a stanza that featured seven lead changes and was tied eight times. Neither team was able to grab a lead larger than four points along the way. UT Arlington also supplemented their offense with four aces in the set.
