ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Samantha Glenn has been named the Western Athletic Conference Libero of the Week, league officials announced today.
 
It is the first time the junior from Grapevine, Texas has claimed the award this season.
 
"I am so happy to find out Sam earned this honor this week," head coach Tania Schatow said. "She has been the backbone of our passing and defense this season. She just keeps getting better."
 
Glenn anchored the Mavericks' defense over the weekend, recording 12 digs against Northwestern State, 27 digs against Little Rock, and adding 25 digs with two assists in the match against North Texas.
Glenn leads the Western Athletic Conference in digs per set (4.20) and total digs (168).

The Mavericks will face off in the Roadrunner Classic, opening the weekend against UTSA at 12 p.m. CT and Prairie View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. UTA will close the weekend on Saturday, playing against North Florida at 11 a.m.
