Match 1 vs UTSA
The UT Arlington volleyball team fell to the UTSA Roadrunners in three sets (15-25, 21-25, 13-25) Friday on the road at Convocation Center.
The non-conference loss dropped UT Arlington to 8-2 on the season.
Jalie Tritt finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Mavericks attack. got 12 digs from Samantha Glenn to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-15. UT Arlington trailed by as many as 10 points as UTSA grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was notted up two times before the Roadrunners took control.
SET 2 | A 25-21 set-two loss put UT Arlington in a 2-0 hole in the match. The Mavericks lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | UT Arlington couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Mavericks fell behind on the first point and never took the lead before losing the set 25-13.
Match 2 vs Prairie View
The UT Arlington volleyball team won the first two sets but couldn't hold on and fell in five sets (25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 22-25, 15-17) to the Prairie View A&M Lady Panthers Friday at Convocation Center.
The non-conference loss moved UT Arlington to 8-3 on the season.
The Mavericks were led by a double-double from Jalie Tritt, who registered 15 kills and 17 digs on the day. Evyn Snook also added 16 kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Samantha Glenn chipped in for with 30 digs to go with six blocks from Sophia Krichev.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks took control of the set-one lead at 3-2 and never trailed to win 25-19. UT Arlington led by six points at 17-11 before closing out the set, collecting 20 kills along the way.
SET 2 | After their win in the first set, UT Arlington put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-15 victory in set number two. The Mavericks grabbed control of the set lead early on at 3-2 and held the lead the rest of the way. UT Arlington led by as many as 12 points at 21-9 before closing out the set. The UT Arlington offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza. UT Arlington's front row had a solid defensive performance, blocking five Prairie View A&M attacks in the stanza.
SET 3 | UT Arlington saw its chance at a 3-0 sweep end when Prairie View A&M took set three. The Mavericks came up short in a back-and-forth battle, losing 25-21 in a set that featured five lead changes and was tied nine times. Neither team had a lead of more than four points along the way.
SET 4 | UT Arlington then dropped their second straight set 25-22 to brind the match level at two sets apiece. Prairie View A&M grabbed the advantage for good at 20-19 and UT Arlington was never able to recover in a set that was tied up 10 times before the Lady Panthers took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 5 | UT Arlington won the first two sets but dropped the next three sets on their way to losing the match. The Mavericks fell in a tight fifth set, losing in a stanza that was tied six times and had four lead changes.
