SAN ANTONIO, TX --The UT Arlington volleyball team fell to the North Florida Ospreys 3-2 (25-22, 18-25, 25-15, 27-29, 12-15) Saturday at Convocation Center.
The non-conference loss dropped UT Arlington to 8-4 on the season.
The Mavericks offense was paced by Jalie Tritt, who finished with 18 kills on the day, and by Sophie Ocampo, who had 14 while hitting .25. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Samantha Glenn's 19, 15 from Mira Ledermueller, and 11 more from Alondra Hernandez. From the front row, Sophia Krichev contributed six blocks and Tritt added five rejections.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Mavericks opened up an early one set to none lead, winning the first set 25-22. UT Arlington never trailed by more than five points and grabbed the advantage for good at 20-19 in a set that showcased two lead changes before the Mavericks took over in the second half of the stanza. UT Arlington also supplemented their offense with three aces in the opening set.
SET 2 | UT Arlington then lost set two 25-18, evening the match at a set apiece. UT Arlington trailed by as many as seven points as North Florida grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was tied up just once before the Ospreys took over the lead.
SET 3 | UT Arlington then got back on the winning track, emerging victorious in set three and taking a two sets to one lead in the match. The Mavericks grabbed control of the set early when the score was 3-2 and held the lead the rest of the way to win 25-15. UT Arlington ended on a strong note, opening up its biggest lead of the stanza, 10 points, to finish off the set.
SET 4 | UT Arlington couldn't finish off a four-set win as the Ospreys forced a fifth set with a 29-27 victory. The Mavericks couldn't persevere past a furious North Florida rally, losing after leading by seven points at 12-5 earlier in the set.
SET 5 | UT Arlington and North Florida went back and forth all game, trading wins in the first three sets until the Ospreys took sets four and five, including winning the fifth set 15-12, and the match. The Mavericks had a lead early in the set at 9-9 before North Florida took over.
Samantha Glenn capped off her strong weekend by earning All-Tournament recognition. Glenn showcased her consistency across three matches in the tournament:

- UTA v. UTSA (Sept. 19): Tallied 12 digs against the host Roadrunners.
- UTA v. Prairie View A&M (Sept. 19): Posted a match-high 30 digs along with 5 assists, 1 service ace, and 1 kill.
- UTA v. North Florida (Sept. 20): Closed the weekend with 19 digs, 3 assists, and 1 ace in a hard-fought battle against the Ospreys.

The junior libero finished the tournament with 61 total digs, 8 assists, 2 aces, and a kill, continuing to be a reliable presence in UTA's back row.
