ARLINGTON, TX -- The UT Arlington volleyball team begins conference play with a matchup against the Thunderbirds of Southern Utah at College Park Center, tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT.
The Mavs enter WAC play with an 8-4 overall record, looking to defend their conference title as last year's champions.
Saturday's match will feature the official reveals of UTA's 2024 WAC Championship banner and NCAA Tournament banner inside College Park Center. To commemorate the occasion, alumni from last year's championship team –
Alyssa Duran (current graduate assistant coach),
Alli Wells, Cansu Gunaydin, and
Paige Reagor – will take part in an honorary serve prior to first serve.
Following the match, UTA Volleyball will host an on-court postgame autograph session with the team. In addition, the first 100 fans to remain after the conclusion of the match will receive a replica mini championship banner.

- The Mavericks have played and won all four games against the Thunderbirds each year since 2022.
- Currently, the Mavericks lead the Western Athletic Conference in aces per set (2.36), opponent hitting percentage (0.152), and team service aces (125).
