KOHALA COAST, Hawaii – The UT Arlington men's golf team is kicking off its spring slate at the 35th Amer Ari Invitational. The event — co-hosted by Hawaii and Hawai'i-Hilo — begins Thursday at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club in Kohala Coast, Hawai'i. 

The second and third rounds will be played on Friday and Saturday respectively.

UTA joins a loaded tournament field that features 20 different programs, including the reigning national champion Oklahoma State Cowboys who are currently ranked No. 8 in the nation. Oklahoma State is one of four teams ranked in the top 10, a group headlined by No. 4 Auburn as well as featuring No. 6 Texas and No. 7 Arizona State. 

Along with four top 10 ranked teams competing at the invitational, an additional five schools are ranked in the top 25.

INSIDE THE LINEUP
Arth Sinha

• Sinha competed in UTA's last tournament of the fall — Saint Mary's Golf Invitational — and was the Mavericks top finisher after tying for 36th. Sinha turned in rounds of 72-76-72 for a four-over-par 220.

Ajay Morris

• Morris also competed in the Saint Mary's Golf Invitational, finishing with rounds of 75-81-70 (226), finishing 72nd. Morris' 3rd round was the best for a Maverick at the tournament. 

Nicholas Lyman

• Lyman wasn't far behind Morris, finishing tied for 76th after firing off a 12-over-par 228.

Michael Chevalier

• An 86th place finish was the result of Chevalier's last time out. The junior shot a 21-over-par 237.

Matthew Broder

• This will be Broder's first action since UTA's opening tournament of the fall. The junior finished with an 11-over-par 227
